Customizing Global Language content is not available in the same way as standard PLE content. Although individual assignments in Global Language courses can be deleted, it is not recommended.
Courses contain 90 lessons per semester and are designed and laid out to gradually build learner's knowledge. Removing assignments from the course could create gaps in knowledge and understanding of the language. Deleting an assignment in one course does not delete it in any duplicate courses if they exist. It occurs in that course only. You can undo a deletion if performed accidently as long as it's done immediately and you haven't navigated to another screen in the Middlebury Interface. An alternative to deleting assignments is to mark them as extra credit or exempted. See the links below for more information on these alternative options:
How to edit a grade or exempt an assignment in a Global Language course
- Click the Home icon.
- Click the Assignment List icon next to the Classroom.
- Click the trash icon next to the assignment you want to delete.
- You will receive confirmation the assignment was deleted successfully.
Click Undo if you did not want to delete the assignment. This is the only opportunity to restore the deleted assignment. You cannot restore the assignment if you navigate away from this screen and come back at a later time.
- Follow the same steps above to delete other assignments in the course.
