How to manage Learners
Explanation
Account Administrators and Instructors can perform multiple tasks when managing Learners:
- Create New Learner
- Enroll Learner into a Class
- View enrolled Classes for a Learner
- Transfer Learner from one Class to another
- View Quick Reports including Graphic Learner Progress, Learner Progress, and Grade Reports
- Edit Learner profile information
- Activate, Deactivate, or Delete a user
How To
To manage learners, select the LEARNERS tab, then select Manage Learners. To enroll or withdraw a learner from a class select the Actions option. Use the Quick Actions icons to view learner details or quick reports.
Create New Learner
To create a new learner in PLATO Courseware, select the Administration Center at the top>Create a Learner. The following link gives more details on creating learners in PLATO Courseware:
Enroll Learner into a Class
To enroll a Learner into a Class, select LEARNERS> Actions>Enroll Learners. See the article below for more information on enrolling Learners into Classes.
Edit Learner Profile
To edit a Learner's profile refer to the article on How to edit a user profile in PLATO Courseware.
Activate, Deactivate, or Delete a user
To adjust the status of a user's membership refer to How to Activate, deactivate, or delete a user
Quick Actions
Quick Actions are shortcuts to frequently used functions performed by Educators. There are quick links for Graphic Learner Progress reports, Learner Progress Reports, and View Learner Details.
The first icon is View Learner Details. It displays a summary of Learner profile information along with the option to reset the Learner's password.
The second icon under Quick Links on the Manage Learners page is Quick Reports. Choose to run a Graphic Learner Progress Report, or Learner Progress Report. This allows you to quickly and easily monitor Learner's progress in a class. These reports are also available in the Reports tab and can be run for individual Learners or an entire class.
