Managing Flex Assignments for Courseware and Edmentum Assessments

Explanation

Once a Flex assignment is created, Educators have the ability to manage it including editing status, unlocking mastery tests, reporting and grading. In Flex Assignments, Scores are displayed for scorable activities (e.g. Pre-, Post-tests and Mastery Tests). To see the scores, educators can also utilize Sensei or the Reports.

How to unlock Mastery Tests in Flex Assignments

  1. From the Flex Assignments home page, click the Flex Class the learner is located in.
  2. Select the Students tab at the top of the Active Assignments list.
  3. Click the student whose status you wish to update.
  4. Select the Progress item you wish to edit.
  5. Locate the Mastery Test tile, and click the Locked icon to unlock the mastery test.

 

Note: Students can automatically unlock mastery tests by redoing the tutorial, or Educators can unlock mastery tests for students in Sensei via Alerts.

 

Edit mastery, Completion, and Score for Individual activities in Flex Assignments 

1. From the Flex Assignments home page, click the Flex Class the learners located in. 

2. Select the Students tab at the top of the Active Assignments list. 

3. Click the student whose status you wish to update.

4. Select the Progress item you wish to edit. 

5. Locate the item you wish to edit, and click EDIT

6. Make your desired changes, and click OK

 

Note: Scores and mastery test can be edited and Quizzes can be reset. Educators can manually reset the Quiz to allow for students to retake it. 

  

Reset Pre, Post, and End of Semester Tests

Resetting the activity will force the Learner to restart it from the beginning and will reset their score and task progress. This cannot be undone.

1. From the Flex Assignments home page, click the Flex Class the learners located in. 

2. Select the Students tab at the top of the Active Assignments list. 

3. Click the student whose status you wish to update.

4. Select the Progress item you wish to edit. 

5. Locate the item you wish to reset, and click Reset

6. Click OK.

 

Reports

Data from Flex Assignments will appear in the following reports accessed via Sensei or the Admin Center:

  • Learner Progress Report
  • Learner Daily Usage Report
  • Graphic Learner Progress Report
  • Detailed Score Report

Grading for Flex Assignments

Grading is now available for Flex Assignments. For more information select the grading tool below that is being used in your account. 

 

Other Considerations

View and assign teacher graded content

  • This includes Digital Drop Box, Teacher Graded Activity, and Threaded Discussion
  • Educator will be able to Score/Review these items either via the Ready to Score page in Sensei OR the Flex Assignment interface.

View content details of an Assignment and review Learner’s work

  •  Teacher Graded Activities can only be reviewed if completed
  •  Mastery Tests need to be Mastered and Locked in progress
  •  Course Lesson Activities need to be completed in order to review
