Just as the school year is ramping up for many of our customers, we are happy to announce a number of platform enhancements for users of Edmentum products.

The new item types include: Multipart, Audio, Video and Drawing (graphing and number line questions)
New Interface for Study Island Assessments and Edmentum Assessments: Interfaces have been updated to be more streamlined and user friendly, to better accommodate new item types and to be more similar to next generation assessment interfaces, like PARCC and SBAC interfaces.
SI Benchmark Reporting: Educators will now be able to toggle the constructed response (CR) scores “ON” or “OFF,” allowing educators the flexibility to determine whether or not to include CR scores in the final assessment score.

Flex Assignments is an enhancement that allows instructors to assign content and additionally gives them the ability to create classes, modify and deactivate assignments, run reports and monitor progress within the Flex Assessments application. This new feature is available for all Plato Courseware and Edmentum Assessments customers on the 3.5 platform. Supplemental Assignments in Sensei will continue to exist in PLE 2.0 only.
Virtual Learning Collaboration Space (VLCS): A new feature within Edmentum Sensei for customers on both the 2.0 and 3.5 platforms that allows educators to facilitate virtual synchronous communication in a secure environment. VLCS allows instructors to setup a virtual space, invite students, and facilitate a discussion through instant messaging and whiteboard collaboration.
V3.5 Enhancements: In addition to the Flex Assignments and VLCS above, the 3.5 platform continues to be enhanced with improvements to areas such as access control, class closeout, self enroll, and reporting, to name a few.
Grade Tracker: An enhanced Detailed Grade Report is now available to all Grade Tracker customers! This ensures Grade Tracker users have access to all Grade Report information and more in this newly available report.
