How do I clear my Java Cache?


The process below will guide you through clearing you Java Cache as a trouble shooting step, or a solution to an issue you may be experiencing..


Clearing the Java Cache

Follow this process to clear the Java Cache.

Windows users

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click on Java.
  4. In the Java Control Panel click on the “Settings…” button.

  1. In the Temporary Files Settings window click on the “Delete Files…” button.

  1. The Java cache is now cleared, you can close all windows.

Mac Users

  1. Click on Finder.

  1. Click Applications.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Double Click Java Preferences.
  4. Click the Network tab.

  1. Click the button "Delete Files..." at the bottom of the page.
  2. Ensure that both "Applications and Applets" and "Trace and Log Files" is selected.

  1. Hit OK.
  2. The Java cache is now cleared, you can close all windows.
