How to allow or block Cookies in Microsoft Edge browser

Cookies are text files retained on computers by browsers containing various information in regards to a specific website visit. Another way to think of this is that a cookie is a message given to a web browser from a web server that is then sent back to the web server whenever the browser requests a page from it.

To allow or block Cookies on Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, do the following:

  1. Open Edge browser
  2. Click on the 3-dotted ‘More’ link to open its Settings
  3. Scroll down and click on View Advanced Settings.
  4. Again scroll down till you see the setting for Cookies.
  5. When here, from the 3 options, select one.

The available options are:

  • Block all Cookies
  • Block only third party cookies
  • Don’t block cookies.

To allow all Cookies, ensure that Don’t block cookies is selected, and restart Microsoft Edge.
